MIT NUTRA White Kidney Bean Extract is a fat and carb blocker designed to support healthy glucose levels and helps to increase metabolism. This is a stimulant-free product and, according to the manufacturer, it can be used in conjunction with other fat loss supplements from MIT NUTRA, including its Garcinia Cambogia, Forskolin Caralluma and the Detox Cleanse.

According to the supplement facts listed on the bottle, each serving size (2 capsules) contains 1200 mg of White Kidney Bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) Extract.

The suggested use is to take 2 capsules immediately before your two largest meals of the day. You should not exceed more than 4 capsules per day.

In terms of its effectiveness, it is believed that white kidney bean can block carbohydrates by intercepting starches that have been ingested and preventing these starches from being digested and turned into fat and sugar. It may also help to promote appetite suppression.

More specifically, white kidney bean extract may be beneficial for weight loss because the substance in the beans interfere with amylase, an enzyme that the body requires to breakdown carbohydrates. If these carbohydrates are not broken down small enough, the body cannot absorb them and make use of the calories they provide. The result is a calorie deficiency, which could benefit weight loss.

That being said, studies have found that carb blockers have the most effect on weight loss in individuals who used white kidney bean in conjunction with exercise and dietary changes and who ate the most carbs among all the participants in the studies. In fact, carb blockers appear to offer very little benefit to those who follow a low-carb diet. This is why it is important to take MIT NUTRA White Kidney Bean Extract directly before normal or high carb meals for optimal results.

Still, it should also be noted that claims made for these starch blockers are not based on reliable scientific evidence. Additional research is necessary to verify the potential advantageous effects.

As for side effects, for the most part, white kidney bean is safe for most healthy adults. It typically doesn’t cause any serious side effects. Gas and diarrhea are the most common adverse effects and may result from increased fermentation of carbohydrates. Bloating and constipation may also occur. Usually, if these side effects occur, they tend to go away after a few days once the body adjusts to your new diet.

Before you take MIT NUTRA White Kidney Bean extract or any carb blocker, first talk to your doctor about your plans to make sure it is the right choice for you.
