Metabolic Plus is an “ultra-potent” metabolism and energy booster designed to help you shred fat efficiently and fast. Created by Britten Nutrition, it also supposedly suppresses appetite and blasts away flat cells. The new and improved formula contains seven active ingredients and the official product site claims that Metabolic Plus has been “scientifically engineered to stop any sign of hunger and halt the growth of fat cells.”

The seven active ingredients include: Caffeine, Capsicum Extract, Acetyl-LCarnitine, Green Tea Extract, Vitamin B3, Black Pepper Extract and Chromium. With one look at these ingredients it’s obvious that this formula has placed a lot of emphasis on thermogenic energy boosting and fat burning due to ingredients like caffeine, green tea, capsicum and vitamin B3 (niacin).

That being said, in terms of clinical studies, caffeine has been found to increase heart rate and can boost mental alertness. It may also help a person burn more fat when it is combined with physical activity. Some studies have even found it to cause mild appetite suppression. Capsicum is said to cause a thermogenic reaction, causing the body to produce more heat and in turn burn more calories to produce energy. Vitamin B3 is considered to be a natural energy booster producing energy from consumed foods. Black pepper helps your body to absorb the ingredients better and chromium is believed to lower fasting blood sugar levels.

While there is absolutely no scientific proof that taking Metabolic Plus will lead to fat loss that will result in the loss of weight, due to its caffeine content, it is likely to give you an energy boost at the very least.

With that being said, however, do keep in mind that each serving contains 129 mg of caffeine and 50 mg of green tea (which also contains caffeine). This is about as much or slightly more caffeine than what is in a cup of coffee. The recommended dosage is to take two capsules per day. Therefore, it would be wise to watch you caffeine intake from other sources (ex. coffee, tea, soda, energy drinks etc.) when taking this diet pill to reduce the risk of unpleasant side effects such as insomnia, jitters, heart palpitations, anxiety, headache and digestive upset.

While there isn’t anything overly special about Metabolic Plus there’s also isn’t anything overly dangerous about the product either when compared to other weight loss supplements on the market. Nevertheless, this fat burner is not safe for everyone to take. It would be in your best interest to speak with your healthcare professional before introducing it to your diet.
