Apidren review

Apidren is a dietary supplement that claims to contain clinically tested ingredients that help to aid weight loss. The non-prescription diet pill will supposedly help a user decrease their weight and shrink their waist circumference. Surprisingly, beyond these statements, the official product page for Apidren doesn’t brag or point out any other specific benefits that the pill provides in relation to weight loss.

Of course, bragging or not, any diet pill is only as good as its ingredients. How does Apidren measure up? The formula contains a propriety blend of Garcinia Cambogia, Green Tea, GreenSelect Phytosome Green Tea, and Purple Tea with GHG. It also contains and Energy Blend of Natural Caffeine, Theobromine and Higenamine.

While the supplement facts sheet for the product indicates how much of each blend is contained in a single serving (1 capsule), it does not break down how much of each ingredient has been used in the blend. Therefore, there’s no way of knowing just how much of each individual ingredient is used, which isn’t good news for anyone who wants to track how much of a certain substance they are ingesting.

The official Apidren website does provide some information about some of its ingredients and mentions studies for the ingredients it does discuss. However, at the time that this review was written, no links were provided to the studies referenced, so there isn’t any way to verify the facts.

With that in mind, here are a few details about the ingredients that they do list. Garcinia Cambogia is believed to have a positive effect on metabolism as well as help reduce appetite. GreenSelect Phytosome Green Tea contains caffeine (which can help improve energy expenditure), and is also high in antioxidants known as catechins (which are believed to increase thermogenesis). Purple Tea with GHG contains both GHG and the antioxidant anthocyanins. Some research suggests that purple tea can suppress fat absorption and enhance hepatic fat metabolism. Natural Caffeine boosts energy levels and alertness which may boost metabolism. Higenamine acts as a stimulant and may increase heart rate, which could help to improve athletic performance.

None of these ingredients have ever been proven to effectively cause or aid in weight loss. Even the ingredients, such as caffeine, which can boost energy and can make you alert, will not necessarily cause you to burn fat that will result in the loss of weight.

Finally, this product does contain multiple stimulants, which increases the risk of side effects like insomnia, rapid heartbeat, anxiety, headache, stomach upset, jitters, etc.

When this review was written, the product sold for $49.95 (single bottle – 30 day supply) and came with a 90 day 100% money-back guarantee.

The bottom line is that there is no proof to backup claims that taking Apidren will result in weight loss or a slimmer waits circumference. It is in your best interest to consult with your healthcare provider before taking this pill.
